The PDA (Particle Dynamics Analyzer) is also well known as PDPA (Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer) and PDI (Phase Doppler Interferometer), and it has established itself as a measurement method for simultaneous measurement of particle size and flow velocity. The PDA is an extension of the laser Doppler anemometer (LDA), and both PDA and LDA are optical technologies that perform ideal non-contact point measurements in a wide range of fluid dynamics applications.
